May is Mental Health Awareness Month - Alzheimer's and Depression

Mental Health Awareness Month is a time to raise awareness of those living with mental health issues, especially those patients living with Alzheimer's and dementia. Between 40 and 50% of people people with Alzheimer's experience depression. According to the Alzheimer's Association, "Depression is very common among people with Alzheimer's especially during the early and middle stages."
Treatment is available and can make a significant difference in the quality of life.
