Joyful Memories: Virtual Interactive Singalong Program for Alzheimer's & Dementia

What better way to enjoy music and provide a meaningful activity than a singalong program featuring all of the favorite songs from the past.
The Joyful Memories program is designed to create connections and communicate with older at all levels of health using the power of music. Various research shows that the areas of the brain that store musical memories are the last to deteriorate. This explains why individuals who rarely speak will often spontaneously sing when a familiar song is played and those who experience trouble walking are often motivated to stand and dance in place. Music can help organize the brain, and this is especially vital for people with dementia.
Visit www.joyfulmemories.com to learn more about our program and visit Comforcare's corporate Facebook page to listen to "Tune in Today." Steve Toll sing songs from the past, provides fun facts about the songs as well as well as stories and information about the power of music.
Steve Toll, Care Enhancement specialist with Comforcare home care, is a lifelong musician and dementia care expert and he will sing all of the favorites accompanied by his rhythmic guitar style.
