Hurricane Preparedness

Hurricane season starts June 1st in Florida. Please be prepared with a hurricane preparedness kit that includes basic disaster supplies such as the following:

1. Water - (one gallon per person per day for several days, for drinking and sanitation)

2. Food - (several days supply of non-perishable food and disposable plates/utensils)

3. Battery powered radio

4. Flashlights and extra batteries

5. First aid kit

6. Emergency plan - (evacuation routes and/or shelter information)

7. Important paperwork, health information and documents, medications, emergency contacts and numbers

8. Current pet photos and food and water for pets

9. Extra sanitation and hygiene supplies
