Hospice & Private Duty Caregivers: Care for Body, Mind & Spirit

Private duty care often works closely with hospice care by supplementing an extra element to caregiving...private duty caregivers. Both hospice care and non-medical, private duty care share a mission of assisting patients/families in their home and tending to their mind, body and spirit to keep them comfortable and well cared for during their health care journey. However, aide services/visits under hospice care are time limited. Private duty care aide services are not time limited. See info below:
PRIVATE DUTY HOME CARE & HOSPICE AIDE & HOMEMAKER SERVICES
· Aides provide patient care, meal preparation, bathing, grooming & personal care, housekeeping, laundry, companionship
· Assistance with activities of daily living in the home or facility where patient resides
· Aides provide respite for caregivers who need time for errands, doctor’s appointments, rest or recovery
· Respectful of patient and family caregiver environment and patient’s personal needs
· Caring, comforting presence at a difficult time
· COMFORCARE - Provides caregivers 24/7 round-the clock coverage needed to keep patients comfortable and safe at home or in a facility
· COMFORCARE - Provides supplemental staffing for hospice aide and homemaker services
