Benefits of Private Duty Care: Non-Medical Home Care - Comforcare

I often receive calls from families asking how private duty care can help their loved ones. Families ask about the services we provide and if our agency can help their loved ones. I'm not sure my mother/father needs someone now, I often hear...and many times that family member calls back requesting a visit for evaluation and service.
So what are the benefits of Private Duty Care?
Private Duty Care is a service that provides assistance with day-to-day activities such as: assistance with bathing/shower, personal care, hygiene management, chronic disease management, Alzheimer's/dementia memory care, long term care, meal preparation, companionship, light housekeeping, errands, transportation, medication reminders, fall prevention, 24-hour supervision, and respite care.
The goal of Private Duty Care is to help older adults age in place safely and comfortably with dignity and independence in their own home.
The goal = the benefits.
Private Duty Care is not covered by Medicare and covered by some state Medicaid waivers.
