Bed Bound CaregiverTraining - Live Virtual Training
Subject: Join Our Live Virtual Training
We are proud to offer a monthly virtual webinar skills training called: Staying Connected. You’ll get a chance to build your skills while connecting with fellow caregivers from across the country!
On Wednesday, November 17 from 4:00 - 4:30 p.m. EST we will present Bedbound Care Training.
Someone who is no longer able to move or change positions in their own bed is considered bedridden and will need support with everyday activities. Providing care to someone who is bedridden is often complex as they are dependent on their caregiver to meet all of their needs.
To ensure an individual in this condition doesn’t experience discomfort, it is important that caregivers are equipped with critical care techniques that relieve pressure from the human body and know how to perform these tasks to avoid injuring themselves.
By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
Identify reasons older adults are bed bound and common complications associated with this loss of function
Describe various care techniques to ensure optimal health of clients
Discuss care techniques to avoid typical challenges associated with this type of care
